A process challenge device for WASSENBURG® Endoscope washer-disinfectors
The EndoChallenge PCD provides a means to conduct weekly tests to verify that cleaning has been achieved and ensure that the EWD is working to a defined level of cleaning efficacy as recommended by HTM 01- 06 Part D clause 4.22.
The EndoChallenge Process Challenge Device (PCD) is an auxiliary device to monitor the cleaning efficacy of the WASSENBURG® Endoscope washer-disinfector against soil and protein. The PCD works with Cleaning Indicators with presence of soil. All test soil should be completely removed after the wash cycle to indicate that the cleaning cycle has been effective.
■ Ease of use: the colour coding of the surrogate matches with the configuration of a WASSENBURG® Endoscope washer-disinfector.
■ Reliable: The soil on the Cleaning Indicators is comparable with ISO 15883-5 Annex R as used by verification of the washing cycle during type testing.
■ Clear results: The test soil strips contain fluorescence which attaches to the protein in the soil. In addition to visual inspection a UV light can easily verify if the cleaning was effective; presence of soil under the UV will fluoresce.
The EndoChallenge PCD kit provides an easy to use, reproducible system to ensure patient safety which has been designed and validated by an independent laboratory for WASSENBURG® Endoscope washer-disinfectors.
